Why Choose Budapest Orthopaedics?

High Quality. Safe. Affordable.

GMC REGISTERED UK SURGEON AND ANAESTHETISTS Mr Kordas has worked in British hospitals for over 15 years. He completed his fellowship training in hip and knee surgery at the University Hospital of Coventry and Warwickshire and worked for Oxford University Hospitals between 2013-19. He currently practices both at Budapest Orthopaedics and at the Cherwell Hospital in Banbury, Oxfordshire. Some of our anaesthetists are fully UK trained and all have many years of experience in British hospitals at consultant level.

TOP QUALTIY IMPLANTS We use prosthesis components from major manufacturers such as DePuy-Synthes, ZimmerBiomet, Smith and Nephew and Conformis that are approved both in the UK and the EU. These are some of the best performing devices for longevity in the National Joint Registry of England and Wales.

AFFORDABLE, AT 50-65% OF UK PRICE We use high quality equipment, materials and drugs just as UK hospitals. However, real estate and construction as well as labour costs in most roles are significantly lower in Hungary than in the UK and we simply pass this saving onto you. Our prices are about 65% of the typical UK self-funding prices including accommodation and airport transfer in Budapest.

MODERN PRIVATE HOSPITAL The clinic we partnered with, Wáberer Medical Centre is a modern well equipped private hospital with a reputation for quality and patient safety. The facility is run by doctors with international experience mostly from the UK which is reflected both in the culture and quality assurance systems. The hospital is MRSA free thanks to routine screening of all patients.

SAFE SERVICE We follow the relevant recommendations of NICE (National Institute of Clinical Excellence). These relate to the use of certain devices, medicines and methods in the joint replacement journey.

YOU ARE IN GOOD COMPANY! Around 16,000 patients travel to Hungary for medical treatment from the UK every year. This makes the country the second most popular health travel destination amongst Britons in the world. We hope we can help you too!
